A Migrant's Guide to Scotland ; Your Human Rights in a Different Country
A Migrant's Guide to Scotland – Your Human Rights in a Different Country is a rights-based publication developed by the Human Rights Consortium Scotland and Migrant Voice as part of the Migrant Participation Project. Created by migrants, for migrants, the guide brings together practical information on healthcare, housing, education, childcare, transport, safety, and community support in Scotland. Commissioned as the publication's illustrator, I developed a suite of ten original characters, a custom illustrated map of Scotland, and a set of icons representing everyday rights and services. Through accessible visual storytelling, the project transforms complex information into an engaging resource that supports belonging, dignity, and human rights. The guide was launched in Glasgow in 2026 and continues to support migrants navigating life in Scotland.
